Five weeks northeast to northwest, with a bold jaunt down to southern California: Vermont, Ontario, Michigan, Wisconsin, Chicago, Nebraska, Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, Washington, California, Washington again, Oregon.
This trip was built on the idea of reunions – reconnecting with friends whom I see too rarely, and with long-ago friends whom I haven’t laid eyes on in decades but who remain bright in my memories; visiting places my family is connected to through long decades, but that I was seeing only for the first time; and also hard-core celebrating of amazing, transformational moments in my friends’ lives. Not to mention collecting new friends along the way.
